Home Care Aides are the backbone of the home care services provided by Samaritan Village. Our HCAs are compassionate, reliable, determined, and understand the key role they play in the lives of our clients.

Position Overview

We are excited to offer premium overtime pay for weekend and NOC shifts!

HCAs provide direct personal care and supervision to home care clients. They promote clients' well-being and satisfaction through assistance with activities of daily living. Communication with other departments is key to ensure clients' needs are met.

Qualifications

  • Good judgment and the ability to recognize early signs of illness and/or the need for a higher level of care
  • Ability to perform a broad range of simultaneous duties
  • Great communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to respond to emergent situations
  • Able to adhere to clients' dietary plans, laundry requirements, housekeeping needs

What Will Set You Apart

Current CNA, current HCA, experience in Senior Living environment.

Requirements

  • Valid CA driver's license, First Aid and CPR certified (or ability to obtain), pre-employment DOJ/FBI clearance, TB test, drug screen, and physical required.
  • Must be approved for Home Care Aide Registry.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and fluent in English.

Restaurant Manager

Full Time (Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with ongoing flexibility to meet business needs

About The Gardens Restaurant:

The Gardens Restaurant is a traditional casual dining venue located within a premier senior living community. We proudly serve residents, their guests, and the public, offering a welcoming atmosphere with daily specials and a wide variety of menu items. Open from 8:00 AM to 6:15 PM, our restaurant, deli, and private dining spaces collectively create a unique dining experience for all guests. The menu items range from comfort food to filet mignon and scallops, with special holiday meals ranging from buffets to a multi-course experience.

Job Summary:

The Restaurant Manager is the general manager of The Gardens Restaurant, reporting directly to the Administrator. The primary responsibility is to ensure consistent high-quality food products and an excellent dining experience for residents and guests. The Restaurant Manager oversees the efficiency and profitability of the restaurant and all ancillary dining services, always ensuring smooth operations. This role provides overall leadership, training, and development for staff, fostering a team that is committed to delivering exceptional food service through exceptional hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of The Gardens Restaurant, ensuring excellent food quality and customer service.
  • Manage the restaurant’s financial performance, including food costs, labor costs, and overall profitability.
  • Coach and develop staff members to maintain a cohesive team environment.
  • Collaborate with the Chef to develop menus that align with standards.
  • Plan and execute special events, holiday meals, and multi-course offerings that enhance the dining experience.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and ensure cleanliness and organization in all dining areas.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, guests, and team members to create an inviting and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Track and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments.
  • Manage all services and resolve issues.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in similar capacity with increasing responsibility.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Financial management experience managing all aspects of a restaurant, including budgeting and cost control.
  • Passion for providing exceptional dining experiences in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Flexibility to adjust the schedule as needed to meet business demands.

Candidates are required to pass a pre-employment DOJ/FBI criminal record clearance, TB test, drug screen, and employment history/professional reference verification. Must be 18 years of age or older and fluent in English.

Caregiver

Flex Position (Starting rate $16.50/hour)

Must be available to work one shift on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sunday each week. Our caregivers are passionate about providing friendly, quality, and attentive service to our residents and assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, preparing meals, and performing light housekeeping. Growth opportunities are available including full time, med tech, and floor lead/shift lead roles!

Skills and abilities needed to be a Caregiver include:

  • Availability to work one shift on Fridays or Saturdays each week
  • Good judgment and ability to recognize early signs of illness and/or the need for a higher level of care.
  • Ability to perform a broad range of simultaneous duties.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team of dedicated employees across the Samaritan Village campus.
  • Ability to effectively resolve conflict.
  • Ability to work independently.
