Samaritan Village is seeking a reliable and motivated Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to help maintain our senior living community.

This full-time position is ideal for someone with basic maintenance experience or related education who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.

Position Overview

• Location: Samaritan Village
• Pay: $20.00 per hour
• Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Job Type: Full-Time

What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you will help ensure our facilities, equipment, and grounds remain safe and in excellent working condition. Responsibilities include:

• Perform general maintenance throughout cottages, apartments, and community buildings.
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical, painting, drywall, and carpentry repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on utility vehicles, trailers, appliances, laundry equipment, and other maintenance equipment.
• Complete assigned work orders accurately and in a timely manner while updating the status of pending work.
• Monitor equipment, take daily equipment readings, and report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to the Facilities Manager.
• Assist with apartment renovations, including move-in and move-out preparations, flooring, wall coverings, and appliance repairs or replacement.
• Maintain an organized inventory of company tools and equipment.
• Work collaboratively with all departments to provide an exceptional experience for residents.
• Follow all Samaritan Village policies and procedures, including safety, infection control, confidentiality, and resident care standards.
• Assist other departments, including Housekeeping and IT, as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid California Class C driver's license with a clean driving record.
• One year of related maintenance experience or related education.
• Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, power tools, small motor vehicles, and laundry equipment.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Fluent in English.
• Ability to pass a DOJ/FBI background check, drug screening, TB test, and health screening.

Physical Requirements

• Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and lifting.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Heavier lifting may be performed with assistance when needed.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and around maintenance equipment.

Join Our Home Care Team – Home Care Aides Travel to Client Homes (Not Campus-Based)

We are looking to grow our Home Care team! Home Care Aides (HCAs) are the backbone of the services provided by Samaritan Village.

Important: This is a traveling caregiver position. HCAs provide care in clients' private homes, not on the Samaritan Village campus.

Our HCAs are compassionate, reliable, and understand the important role they play in supporting clients' independence and quality of life.

Position Overview

• Work Setting: Client homes (off-site, travel required)
• Shifts Available: AM, PM, NOC
• Pay: $17.00/hr · Premium pay for weekends and overnights at $22/hr

We are excited to offer premium overtime pay for weekend shifts.

HCAs provide direct personal care and supervision to clients in their homes. They promote well-being and satisfaction through assistance with activities of daily living. Strong communication with the care team is essential to ensure client needs are met.

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities

• Ability to follow client-specific care plans, including dietary, housekeeping, and laundry needs

What Will Set You Apart

Current CNA, current HCA, or experience in a Senior Living environment.

Requirements

Valid CA driver's license, First Aid and CPR certified (or ability to obtain), pre-employment DOJ/FBI clearance, TB test, drug screen, and physical required. Must be approved for Home Care Aide Registry. Must be 18 years of age or older and fluent in English.
