Dining Services Assistant Manager

Full Time - 40hrs/week (Starting at $26.00/hour)

The Gardens Restaurant at Samaritan Village is a full-service restaurant offering casual dining to residents and the local community. We are looking for a committed individual to take ownership of our front of house team. The Role

As a member of our leadership team, the Dining Services Assistant Manager oversees all aspects of hospitality and customer service including guest satisfaction, service excellence, and dining area optics. The Assistant Manager leads by example and creates a sense of teamwork and cooperation amongst the server team. Responsibilities include:

  • Assigns sections, side work, and other duties to server team, adjusting processes as necessary.
  • Oversees daily operations in all dining areas to ensure standards are being met, making corrections and changes when needed.
  • Maintains a leadership presence in dining areas during service times to monitor success and touch tables.
  • Cultivates a positive team spirit and inspires exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of front of house experience in a full-service restaurant or applicable hospitality experience including food safety knowledge and opening/closing processes.
  • Three or more years leading or supervising a customer service team including staff training.
  • The ability to thrive while flexing between hospitality functions and administrative tasks.
  • Must recognize the benefit of serving a repeat customer base.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

Candidates are required to pass a pre-employment DOJ/FBI criminal record clearance, TB test, drug screen, and employment history/professional reference verification. Must be 18 years of age or older and fluent in English.

Flex Schedule (Starting at $16.00/hour)

SV is looking for servers to join our team! We provide a friendly and open environment to residents, staff, and guests. We have opportunities for full time and part time hours with no late nights!

Position Overview

Duties include timely and friendly delivery of food and beverages to residents and guests, dining room setup, and section cleaning. This position also provides support with food running and bussing shifts. May also assist with food preparation.

Skills and abilities needed to be a Server include:

  • Reliable
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff
  • Experience in a similar position
  • Customer Service experience
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgement

Caregiver

Flex Position (Starting rate $16.00/hour)

Starting rate is $16/hour and includes shift differentials! PM shift differential is $0.50/hour and NOC earns an extra $1.00/hour.

Must be available to work one shift on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sunday each week. Our caregivers are passionate about providing friendly, quality, and attentive service to our residents and assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, preparing meals, and performing light housekeeping. Growth opportunities are available including full time, med tech, and floor lead/shift lead roles!

Skills and abilities needed to be a Caregiver include:

  • Availability to work one shift on Fridays or Saturdays each week
  • Good judgment and ability to recognize early signs of illness and/or the need for a higher level of care.
  • Ability to perform a broad range of simultaneous duties.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team of dedicated employees across the Samaritan Village campus.
  • Ability to effectively resolve conflict.
  • Ability to work independently.

Requirements

Must be available to work one shift on Fridays or Saturdays each week. Candidates are required to have or obtain a First Aid Certificate and pass a pre-employment DOJ/FBI criminal record clearance, TB test, drug-screen, and employment history/professional reference verification, must be 18 years of age or older and fluent in English.
