Home Care Scheduler

Full-Time  |  $20.00/hour

Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary

At Samaritan Village, we provide compassionate in-home care services that support independence, dignity, and quality of life for the people we serve. The Home Care Scheduler helps make this possible by coordinating caregiver schedules to ensure every client receives dependable, high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain daily and weekly caregiver schedules to ensure clients receive reliable, timely home care services.
  • Assign caregivers to client visits based on care needs, caregiver skills, availability, and geographic location.
  • Monitor staffing levels and respond quickly to call-offs, schedule changes, and last-minute coverage needs.
  • Serve as a central point of communication between caregivers, clients, families, and management regarding scheduling updates or concerns.
  • Promote continuity of care by maintaining consistent caregiver assignments whenever possible.
  • Maintain accurate schedules, caregiver availability, and client information within the scheduling system (WellSky).
  • Monitor missed visits, late arrivals, and attendance concerns, and report patterns or issues to management.
  • Support operational efficiency by assisting with payroll verification, visit documentation accuracy, and scheduling compliance requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer service while helping maintain positive caregiver engagement and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least two years of experience scheduling home care staff.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid computer skills; experience with scheduling software and Microsoft Office (WellSky preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English.
  • First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Pre-employment clearances: DOJ/FBI background check, TB test, drug screen, and reference verification.

Caregiver

(Flex Position – Starting at $16.90/hour)

Pay: $16.90/hour base + shift differentials ($0.50/hour for PM, $1.00/hour for NOC)

What You'll Do

As a Caregiver, you'll play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily needs and ensuring they live with dignity, comfort, and joy. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meals, light housekeeping)
  • Providing compassionate, attentive care and companionship
  • Observing and reporting changes in residents' health or behavior
  • Collaborating with a dedicated team to provide the best possible service
