Our History
Samaritan Village is a stand-alone, not-for-profit organization, operated by a team of experienced managers and a local Board of Directors.
Through the vision of local philanthropists John and June Rogers, the dream to build a retirement community for local Catholic nuns and priests was born. As the design process for Samaritan Village grew, the original goal was broadened to offer luxurious, yet surprisingly affordable living to all seniors sixty and over. Doors officially opened in the summer of 2002.
Our stand-alone, not-for-profit status gives us a unique advantage over other local senior living communities as we are not a part of a larger chain and have full control over all decision-making and can easily implement changes and improvements to benefit our residents when needed.
Our Location
Located in the heart of Central California's San Joaquin Valley, Samaritan Village retirement community is just minutes away from Modesto, Turlock and Ceres, California.
